Environmental charter

Since its creation, we have given a central place to respect for the environment. For us, for you and for future generations, we do everything we can to minimize the impact of our activity on the environment... thus:

We raise awareness among our teams and our customers

  • Our environment manager has followed specific training on the issues of sustainable tourism, environmental preservation and CSR
  • Our teams are trained in eco-friendly actions to follow in their daily tasks
  • We choose our service providers and suppliers based on their sustainable and social commitments
  • We provide our customers with information booklets, brochures, displays concerning the animal and plant species located in the surrounding area
  • We offer many alternatives to limit car travel: bicycle rental, public transport, carpooling possibility.

 

We save water and energy:

  • We replace each bulb with an LED or low consumption bulb and have already equipped more than 75% of our lighting.
  • We have installed presence detectors/timers in common areas and corridors to limit energy waste.

 

We limit and sort waste 

  • We have set up several selective sorting points; you can return the glass and your bulbs to reception.
  • We work with a majority of bulk or large packaged products to limit unnecessary packaging.
  • We only offer refillable hospitality products in order to reduce the production of packaging waste.
  • We have put in place displays to support our customers in sorting in accordance with local regulations.
  • We do not offer any tableware.

 

We are attentive to the well-being of our customers:

  • You will find in our grocery store many products from our region and coming directly from producers.
  • Our drinks menu offers organic and/or fair trade products.
  • The products used for the maintenance of rooms and apartments are all eco-labeled, which offers better air quality and fewer health risks.
  • For the well-being of our teams and yours, we have banned bleach, which is irritating to the respiratory tract and toxic to aquatic organisms.
  • Our establishment is completely non-smoking.

 

And more :

  • Our green spaces are maintained without pesticides and we use alternative methods to products to combat weeds and insects.
  • We have partnerships with local resource centers and donate our old equipment & furniture.
  • Every year we commit to new criteria to perfect our approach, don't hesitate to send us your ideas!

In order to realize our commitment and engage in a process of continuous improvement, we are in the process of obtaining the Green Key label.

The Clef Verte label distinguishes tourist accommodation and restaurants engaged in a voluntary, efficient and dynamic environmental approach. The label is awarded annually by an independent jury made up of tourism and environmental experts and professionals.
